What we're doing to keep us all safe in these extraordinary times:

We're lucky.... we live in a beautiful, isolated place with plenty of space.  Apart from Amanda's grocery shop once a week, we have been effectively in self-isolation since this all began back in March.  We are doing all that we can to prevent the virus invading our private sanctuary and request that you help us too.

  • On arrival please stay in your car and text Amanda on 07734722719.  She will come out to meet you.
  • Amanda will take the temperature of all guests with an IR remote thermometer.
  • If guests arrive with symptoms of Covid-19 they will be asked to return home and self-isolate.
  • The lead guest will be asked to sign a declaration that none of their party have displayed any symptoms of Covid-19 on entry to the property.
  • Amanda will show  to the lead guest to the accommodation whilst maintaining social distancing.
  • Properties will be left open on arrival to minimise contact.
  • To limit contact, there is an Information Booklet in each property which contains all the important information.  Please read and text Amanda if you need clarification - if necessary she will pop over to answer any queries.
  • To comply with government guidelines and to allow for the maximum time between check-out and check-in, departure and arrival times have been shifted to 9am and 4pm respectively.
  • Thorough cleaning of the property will take place, with windows being left open.  Non-wipeable surfaces will be sprayed with disinfectant.
  • Sadly, books, surplus soft furnishings and other non-essential items will have been removed from each place in accordance with government guidelines.  A box is provided in each place for guests to leave any item that they have handled during their stay which might not be easily disinfected so that it can be removed before the next guests arrive.
  • Complimentary beverages, condiments etc will not be provided other than in the Shepherd's Hut.
  • For those staying in the Shepherd's Hut, the cooked breakfast option is not available (to maintain social distancing and minimise infection opportunities)
  • Hand Sanitiser will be provided in each property, along with antibacterial/disinfectant cleaning products.
  • At the end of their stay, guests are asked to strip their beds and place their bedding and towels etc in the laundry bags provided.  The bags will be removed from the property and stored in a safe place for 72 hours before being laundered on a hot wash.
  • Recycling to be placed in the relevant boxes and unrecyclable rubbish bagged up and deposited in the bin at the bottom of the drive on departure.
  • If any guest develops symptoms during their stay, they must declare it when leaving.  The property will be put out of bounds for 72 hours before deep cleaning can start.  This obviously has a huge impact on the arrival date of the next guests.
  • We will accept payment for logs etc by contactless card payment rather than cash at the end of your stay.

We can beat this pandemic.....together.

Diolch yn fawr iawn
